I am just really learning about this. I had heard about it before and thought it was just another name for short term memory. I have problems with my working memory. When I think of something, or hear something I immediately forget it. It used to be worse. I would be half way through a sentence and forget what I was talking about. It still happens, especially when I am tired but it is not as bad as it used to be. A lady at Headway told me that I had a problem with this last week. It really helps me knowing what this is. I can explain it people so they won’t think that I am stupid. It will also help me at work as I know now that I will need to double check things to make sure things are right. It is also a big part of decision making, I can’t make decisions anymore. I can just stand in a shop and not be able to decide which packet of crisps to buy and will walk out without buying anything. I worry that the shop assistant thinks I am planning to steal something but the probably don’t even notice me.
